Model Number: #AT19N8E Brand: Admiral Age: More than 10 years
I have a top freezer mount Admiral Model Number: AT19N8E, I need help locating the defrost parts to test them. I've looked at the diagrams & having a hard time understanding where is the evaporator/defrost heater/thermostat. Is it in between the fresh food section & freezer? Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Hi
You are on the right tracks. The evaporator coils, defrost thermostat and defrost heater are in the horizontal divider. They are #30 AND #27 on the digram 05-Unit Compartment & System parts for Admiral AT19N8E - AppliancePartsPros.com You will need to remove the plastic freezer bottom and foam insulation to get to this parts. Simon.

Could you clue me in on how to remove the bottom section of the freezer? I see 3 T25 screws on the bottom left side of the freezer, I"m not sure if that is connected in anyway? I've looked over the diagram several times just puzzled on how it's connected.

You will need two flat screwdrivers. Open the freezer door all the way. Release both corners of the bottom, pry up the front edge of the freezer bottom.
Then - pull it out, don't be afraid to bend the tray in the middle. You may need to apply some force. It would be easier, if you will defrost the fridge first. Simon.
