Both my frig and freezer wentout. lost a lot of good food and had to do a lot of cleaining. The frig is on and power to the lights, digital thermostat,condensor Fan but compressor is not running. I hot wired the compressor and it starts and kept it going for couple of hours and everything seems to be fine. By Hot wire, I mean I bridged the black wire that goes up from the power source to somewhere I can't see and then comes down to the compressor. What I did was I connected them before it went up. I hope this makes sense. Any help is appreciated.
