the the bi-metal defroster seems to stay on too long. last night it went into defrost mode and the freezer warmed up to about 60 degrees during the 20 minute defrost cycle which occurs every 10 hours. defrost timer has been replaced and is advancing according to the 10 hour cycle.
mfg. indicates that the bi-betal defrost has a is 'on' at 25 degrees and off at 50. i do not think it turned off at 50 and therefore the heater stayed on thru almost the whole 2 minute cycle
question: when the bi-metal is working properly and reaches 50 it should turn off the heater even if the 20 minute defrost timer cycle has a few minutes left, yes?
thx pete
