Freezer temperature is 20F 8C Kenmore model 59658642890. all fans working fine and evaporater coils cleaned. Freezes the ice in icemaker but wont dump probably because it is not cold enough. any suggestions as to what might be wrong

When you said "evaporator coils" did you mean the coils inside the freezer? If this is correct and those coils are clean then there is a problem with the sealed system. Very likely it is low on Freon. You have to call a certified refrigeration tech to check it for you.

20°F is equal to -6.7°C. 8°C is 36.5°F. So what is the temperature in the freezer?

Freezer temp is 20F The coils I mean are underneath the refridgerator.

The coils under the refrigerator are the condenser coils.

Remove the rear panel in the freezer and check how the evaporator coils are covered with frost. Post the results.

Hi Gene,

Thank you for your reply.. I have decided to purchase a new refrigerator because of the age of the appliance. I think it is a sealed system problem after testing everything else out. Thank you again for you responses

You are welcome. If this is a sealed system problem then you made right decision. I would recommend not to buy any LG or Samsung refrigerators. Whirlpool is still good.
