Model Number: 596.76513500 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
Hi,
I have problems with my refrigerator Kenmore Trio model number 59676513500. It start to get warm 3 days ago, but the freezer still working. Then I notice that the freezer back panel, the cover evaporator, was frosted and the grills were covered. I removed it and the evaporator was all frosted and frozen, with ice blocks on the sides....sorry I didn't take a picture of it. I started to melt all that ice, remove the water, cleaned all the dust from the back cabinet where the compressor is. Then I turn on the refrigerator and waited. Now the refrigerator is cooling normally. But I'm seeing the compressor area is getting frosted again, and I think that soon the refrigerator is going to get warm again. Is the compressor is damaged or which part need to be replaced? I will appreciate all your help you can bring me to solve this situation. Ads By Google Related Models |

Hello,
Sounds like there is a problem with the defrost system. It consists of three parts: the defrost heater, the defrost thermostat and the control board. First two parts are located in the freezer, at the evaporator coils. The control board is located inside the control panel. Check the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat for continuity. If there is nothing wrong, replace the control board. - The defrost heater Part number: 67002493 - The defrost thermostat Part number: 67003426 - The control board Part number: W10207861 Gene.
