Cooling issues
Came home to find cooling issues. Backwal of freezer has frost and ice maker has had issues for a little while. Not making proper ice.
And Fridge is not cooling good either. I have been just keeping condensor fan and lines cleaned from dust. Thoughts on correction? |
You have a mechanical type defrost timer usually behind the control panel. Look for a hole and stick a flat bladed screwdriver in it and turn it till the compressor turns off. If you get no defrost action, you most probably have a bad defrost limiter clipped to the top of the evaporator. If you get defrost, replace the timer.

Well, never defrosted. So opened up back wall. Found broken glass sleeve from element and finding thermostat bad. So replaceing asap! I think Timer is good. So hopefully this will get it.
