Model Number: FGHC2335LEO Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
The freezer temperature drops drastically when the house temperature drops below 60 degrees. The fresh food side stays at 35 degrees. The freezer will drop to -14 degrees and freeze up the door water supply. As the house temperature is brought back up to 72 degrees the freezer slowly returns to the set temperature.

Hi.
According the manufacturer to ensure the proper work the ambient temperature should be between 55F and 110F.Outside this range the compressor will not work as designed. Simon.

I used 60 degrees to make sure someone understood my question. It does this at 66 degrees, 68 degrees 64 degrees. Any time I set my temperature back for the weekend when I am gone. This cant be normal. I am just trying to figure out what sensor reads this temperature change. There is an ambient sensor on the wiring diagram. I thought maybe this part could be causing this. Again it only affects the freezer side. Thanks.

Hi.
Locate the freezer sensor in the icemaker compartment and check it's resistance. 10Kohm at 77F and 32.5Kohm at 32F. Replace if bad. Simon.
