I noticed my freezer was not getting cold and the refrigerator compartment was doing the same. I turned the thermostat control completely off and then back on and the compressor started running and both compartments started cooling. I checked it several times and the compressor eventually stopped and then would not start again. I used the same process of turning it completely off and then back on and the compressor again started and ran for awhile, shut off and then would not start again. Thje compressor appears to run ok when it starts but is not getting the "command"to start again.
