Our bottom french door freezer is creating a sheet of ice on the bottom floor of freezer and then somehow some of the ice melts and it leaks. Trying to determine what is causing moisture in freezer and why its creating sheets of ice on bottom of freezer.

defrost drain is mostly likely blocked. When unit defrosts, water has no where to go if drain is clogged. It then collects in bottom of freezer and forms sheet of ice. When ice keeps building up, water eventually has no where to go but out the door and onto the floor.
