HI,

for the past year and 1/2 we have had issues with the refrigerator or freezer decreasing in temperature. We have a service contract with GE and they come out and explain that the freezer and refrigerator are freezing up internally. Mainly due to the door being left partially open or something like that. That there is an internal drain of some nature that is freezing. This freezing is inside the wall that separates the refrigerator and freezer. The only way to cure this is to unload the freezer and refrigerator and unplug the refrigerator and then let it sit for 36-48 hours and then start it up again. As this is happening every two months we looking for some help. A neighbor of ours has the same problems and GE told her the same story as well. Does anyone have any insight on this? The refrigerator is from 1998 and a nice one except for this issue. HELP!
