My fridge started clicking for long periods about a month ago. Maybe more. Recently it became an all day event. Fridge started to get warm and now I have unplugged it and removed everything that was inside. I saw another post that was like this. It mentioned looking at the back of the motherboard for bad soldering. I can't seem to remove the motherboard. Maybe it isn't even the problem.

You need to remove the wiring from the motherboard and squeeze each nylon retainer with pliers to release it, then board will come out.

I took off the back cover at bottom of fridge. There is a copper tube like thing that has a wire coming out and it looks rotted, all greenish and fuzzy. right where the wire meets the metal. Am I allowed to post a photo?

never mind had a guy come over, says the computer board is toast

okay question. Repair guy comes over, hasn't had a whole lot of experience with my type of fridge..plugs in the fridge and the clicking starts again so he says, it's the mainboard, needs a new one..he took it off and checked it over, nothing amiss but still says it is the mainboard..should I just accept this?
I feel like a woman at a mechanic shop..I don't know enough about cars to doubt what I am told.
