I have a frigidare side by side refrigerator with a through the door ice/water dispenser model number frs20zrgw9. The freezer is not getting cold enough which means the refrigerator is not cold enough, all the fans are working coerrectly. The evaporator is frosting up and and the condensor coils underneith are clean. Is it possibly my cold control or thermistoris bad, or is it some other issue.

Remove the freezer back panel and describe the frost pattern, total heavy frost, or partial.

It is fully frosted and it appears to be working fine now the freezer is 0 degrees F and the frig is working too. However I am not sure what i did to correct the problem the last thing I did was remove the housing for the thermostat probe. The other thing I did was when it was in the defrost cycle I moved the wires by the ice maker and it started working it does appear to be constantly running now i will check the temps for both the freezer and fridge to see what is going on.

A week later it stopped working the evaporator is totally frosting up but does not appear to be blowing alot of cold air through the vents is it possible my fan motor is going bad

The most probable problem is the defrost thermostat, just order it here.
