Left freezer open all night. This morning, the fridge & freezer were both warm. After closing the door, this did not help. Two hours later, still warm. I took off the back panel of the freezer. the coil had one block of ice around the wires right behind the ice maker (about a solid 2 inches thick.) the rest of the coils were clear of any frost or ice. I removed the ice. The fan in the freezor is running when i plug it in. I removed the cardboard panel behind the fridge. the compressor is hot, the fan next to it is spinning (it has been spinning all morning without stopping.) I have no idea if this is normal. I notice no airflow in the fridge, but I don't know if that is normal also. I don't really know what to do at this point. I turned the thermostat to 5, the highest setting. It was at 3. This has resulted in no change.
Please help. Dont' really have $ for this, but don't know what to do. Fridge is around 2 1/2 years old
