I have the service manual, but don't understand the ice maker test diagnostics.

I press the Fill button, it begins stage one, with the bottom light on. It moves on to step 2, with the bottom 2 lights on, and then it freezes the test.

It remains with the bottom 2 lights on, and the only way to stop the test is to shut off the ice maker.

So, what is this telling me?

Hello,

Did the ice maker fill with water? Did the water freeze?

If both answers are yes, then the ice maker has to be replaced since LG does not provide any replacement parts for the ice maker.

Thanks for the reply Gene.

I turned it off, left it overnight, and it worked in the morning. Must have been some ice stuck somewhere.

I had issues with this thing a few months back where it would test fine, but no water filled. Ended up having to replace the water valve in the back.
