Evaporator fan was periodically getting ice encrusted and had to remove ice because of the noise. Last time as I was preparing to reattach the panel, the fan arced and stopped working. I replaced the fan, no luck. I then replaced the defrost thermostat, still no luck. Any suggestions before I call a repairman?

If the motor wire shorted to the panel, you may have blown the motor 5303918549 Remove it and plug it into the wall outlet, if it fails to run, replace it.

I did replace the fan motor, and it still doesn't work. Schematic shows fan motor and defrost thermostat share a common wire, along with the defrost heater. I've also replaced the defrost thermostat. Still doesn't work.

The evaporator fan motor gets it's power from the adc kit 5303918476, but check your schematic. Not usual, but the door switch might also be in series with the motor.
