Ice Machine not producing Ice
Model Number: 106.53552201 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
I have a Kenmore/Whirlpool side by side refrigerator model number 106.53552201. It is filling up with water but seems not to be dispensing it and dropping it out of the unit itself inside. My husband did take it all apart & rinsed off w/ warm water to see if it was clogged, put all back together. We can hear the water coming up & filling up the unit, sometimes it will flip out the ice but very rarely. If you put your hand inside the unit you can fill that there is ice sitting in there ready to be flipped. Can you please tell me what part would be needed to fix this unit? We are wondering if whole complete thing needs to be replaced or just the motor to flip out the ice?
