Called repair man when freezer stopped keeping icecream hard. He cleaned coil, seemed ok for a week. Called back when fridge got warm, told me I needed a new temp control board (in top of fridge). Called me two days later said parts not available for this model. I went online and ordered part #AP3996141 from you and installed myself. Didn't solve problem. This freezer will work (0-10 degre es) for days at a time, fridge at 34. Then freezer will be 34 or 60 (fan running). It is sporadic and driving me insane... I have 3 kids and thankfully a smaller fridge/freezer in the garage. I have looked at the back of the main board, no burn marks. Any suggestions... Time for a new one??

Need to know what is running/not running when the fridg fails. If the fans are running, but not the compressor, you have a motherboard problem.

Top fan definitely runs (warm air). Where is the other fan? By the compressor?

Yes, by the compressor.

Freezer 42 degrees, fridge 46 degrees. Both fans running, compressor doesn't seem to be running (cool, not warm/hot)

Your most probable problem is the motherboard WR55X10942
