I have a stand alone GE Monogram refrigerator. The temperature is fluctuating between 31 and 44 degrees. At the higher temperatures, considerable moisture appears. Would this be a thermostat problem?

will adjusting the temperature to a cooler setting also affect the high temperature / compressor start point? Or does it just adjust the low point ie. create a larger operating range?
