Hello everyone I'm new to these forums and am what you would call clueless. Now that that has been said:

I have a Hotpoint refrigerator at my apartment, model number ctx16cysjrad, that has had cooling issues. After doing some investigating I found the evaporator fan does not spin while the condenser is running as it should be. If I give the fan blades a gentle flick with my fingers though, it will start spinning and do so until the condenser stops. The problem is that the next time the condenser comes on the fan is stuck again, and I'm not there to give it a flick, and my fridge warms up, my eggs go rotten, I become upset and throw them at the dog.

So, for Spot's sake, I'm wondering if I need to replace the motor or if there's a different solution. Thanks in advance for your time and help!
