I have a Frigidaire side by side refrigerator with water/ice dispenser. Earlier this year, I had a problem with the fridge side too warm. I discoverd the small plastic gear that is inside the air damper assembly to be worn/broken. I purchase a new air damper assembly which resolve that issue.

However, I now have a new issue. The freezer side is way too cold. It's below -20c, and the compressor will never shut off. It constantly runs. It will sometimes shutoff for maybe 10 mins after running for many hours straight, then it starts up again.

Last weekend I turned off the fridge for 48hrs, then turned it back on, but have same result.

Having the freezer dial set on 0 makes no difference.

I am guessing the thermostat is faulty, but before I order it, I would like opinions? Anything else I can check or somehow confirm it's the thermostat?
