Hi I contacted appliance pros to get a ge solenoid #wr57x111 and was told an after market part #ap3672839 dual water inlet valve kit would interchange. what if any modifications will that require?

You will have to take the nuts off the old outlet lines that go to the icemaker and the water dispenser because the new valve has slip in connections. Also this valve comes with wire adapters that you may or may not have to use. Only use the adapters if the plug on the valve is not the same size as the existing wires. Refrigerator repair guide
