Model Number: PLHS69EESS1 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
About a week ago, I noticed the ice in the freezer began to melt and the fresh food temperature was not cooling at the set temperature. The temperature on the freezer will not cool below 55 deg. farrenheit and the fresh food temperature will not cool below 60 degrees farrenheit, no matter what I set it on. I can hear what sound like a compressor or fan kicking in for about 5 seconds and it clicks again as if it is turning off. Can you assist me in what this problem may be? I appreciate any assistance I can get on this.

Here are your parts includes a wiring diagram.
Parts for Frigidaire PLHS69EESS1 Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.com Here is the tech sheet http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodin.../241636600.pdf Could be the start device (item 30 in the System Parts section). may be the capacitor (item 55 in the System Parts section) though they are usually very reliable. Following is how to check the compressor etc. If it looks OK then I would replace the start device to see if that is the problem. There is not a reliable way to actually check the start device. Also even if the compressor check out OK it does not mean that it is OK as it may have mechanical problems.
