Model Number: 795.71022.010 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
I have a 2yr old bottom freezer french door upper. The ice maker is completely enclosed into left door and worked fine for the 1st yr of course no longer under warranty has been acting up on and off for the last yr. The main problem is it is just not filling up enough on 1 fill cycle.
I replaced the built in filter, bypassed the supply line filler, Tried all 3 cube size settings. Here's a real mystery, If I manually fill the tray once or twice sometimes it will begin to work ok again for 1-2 wks then back to 2-3 fills per tray dump cycle. I'm an industrial maintenance mechanic by trade but it's driving me nuts. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
