I have replaced the water filter head on this refrigerator 4 times in the last 6 years. We have hard water in this area and my conclusion is that the head itself is clogging up. Every time I replace it, the water and ice work fine for about a year. I have two options as I see it. One is to replace it again and install an in-line filter for the refrigerator, or somehow clean the filter head. Does any one know how to clean it? Can I soak it in CLR or Limeaway? If not, what is the best in-line filter to use?
