Model Number: 6D25DFXFN01 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
The fridge works fine. The freezer works fine until the fan shuts off automatically. The problem is that the fan does not come back on until I hit the top front of the unit like Fonzie turning on the juke box (sorry under 35 crowd for the old reference). The fan comes on immediately and stays on until the thermostat shuts it off. Why would this be possible? Thanks in advance.

I could not find any info on the given model number, please check it.
Sounds like your fan motor needs replacing. To confirm this check the power across the fan whern it will ot start. if it is 120 volts, then replace the fan. Note: I am assuming this is a 120 volt fan and cannot be 100% sure without looking it up.
