My LG French Door refrigerator leaks water from the ice maker causing a huge solid block of ice to form in the ice bin. This fridge is less than 2 years old.

Last night I pulled out the bin and could see drips of water coming down from the ice maker. I shut the ice maker off with the on/off switch on it and the water has stopped dripping.

Most people recommend changing the water valve but my assumption is the the valve is working since the leak stopped once the ice maker was shut off.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ed
