no cooling, constant compressor fan on, warm compressor, clicking sound followed by buzzing sound every 3-5 minutes for 10 seconds then off. fan on constantly. replaced ptc overload relay and capacitor. compressor resistance within spec. when disconnected for a while, seems to reset something as everything works again, but after a few hours, no cooling and click/buzzing symptoms return. defrost timer?

You could measure the voltage across the compressor or the condenser fan (it is wired in parallel with the compressor.

If it is low it could be the timer.

If it is 120 volts then I would say it is the compressor.
It may have internal mechanical problems that are preventing it from starting when it gets warm.
