HELP!!! We got this practically brand new but it is obvious it was because it has a problem. The freezer gets cool and blows cool air but it isn't cold enough to keep the food cold. Any thoughts or suggestions???

Here are your parts Parts for KitchenAid KFXS25RYMS2 Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comThe freezer gets cool and blows cool air but it isn't cold enough to keep the food cold. I am assuming that the above means that the food in the freezer will not freeze. Also that you have let the unit run for 24 hours. If the unit was transported on it's side or was tilted did you let it sit for 24 hours before plugging it in? First you have to determine what is running and what is not. Is the evaporator/freezer fan running? Is the condenser/compressor fan running? Is the compressor running. You can usually hear it but you should also be able to feel it vibrating. If the evaporator fan is running and the compressor runs all the time odds are high that you have a sealed system problem. If the compressor cycles normally then it may be a control problem. If the compressor keeps clicking on/off it may be a compressor start device problem. |
