This is the second time that this freezer has had a sheet of ice form in the bottom of it, and actually start leaking out onto the kitchen floor. The first time I just cleaned the ice out and waited to see what happened next, but this time after doing some more research, I found this thread, which seems to describe the same problem.

Unfortunately, I couldn't seem to get both the drawers out in order to get at the back of the freezer properly. The main freezer door front is simple, and the bottom basket lifts right out, but the top drawer seems trickier. There is a plastic tab at the front of the drawer that prevents it from coming all the way off, and a single screw on each side. I tried removing these, which does loosen the top of the slide, but it appears to be a solid piece all the way to the back, and I can't see a way to lift the entire thing out. With it in place, there doesn't seem to be a way to access the back panel to get at the plug-is there? Does the complete drawer assembly have to come out somehow?

Anyway, if others have had the same problem, I'd love to hear how you've managed to fix it. For now I'll monitor what's happening with it and see if it starts accumulating water again.
