Model Number: tpx24biyaww Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
Evaporatorfan model: WR60X253
Issue: The fan works, except it won't cycle back on from when it cycles off.If I flick one of the fan blades lightly to get going, then it will take offfine and cool everything properly. Question: If motor otherwise works fine, do I have to purchase another motor or is there another thing to do to fix it??? Could there be another problem involved? See background below. Background: Recently moved this frig to garagefrom kitchen where is was working fine. It sat turned off and defrosted ingarage for a few weeks until plugged back in and didn't work as described. Oneservicman said it could be the condensation from defrosting that rusted themotor slightly to prevent it cycling back on and that a little WD40 shouldhelp. I applied WD40, but didn't solve the problem. Even when holding the motor in my hand and spinning the fan, it doesn't feel "sticky" or "rusty". Thanks for any advice. Ads By Google Related Models |
