Model Number: 106.52709100 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
When I press the door closed button, then press the flipper so the emitter will have a clean line of site, the emitter doesn't flash red or blink or anything. Does this mean the emitter is bad and thus the reason i have no ice?

Hi.
Tell me what's happen when you open the door. Does the indicator light blinks? When you close the flapper door does anything change? What is the original problem? Simon.

The ice maker isn't getting water. I thought it might be a celenoid but then I was reading these boards and someone talked about the emiter and mine doesn't light up at all. Should it? Is there a difinitive way I can put a volt meter to it somewhere to determine whether it's the emiter or a celenoid? Or could it be something else all together?

Hi.
You verified that by telling me that there is no LED light when you open the door and close the flapper door. Simon.
