I have a bottom freezer french door refrigerator and I've been dealing with odd tasting water and smelly ice. I installed a new filter and flushed about 2 gallons of water already. The smell and taste improved, however it came back. I tried replacing the filter again and same thing. Water tasted fine for the first couple days then tasted funny.

The water line kit behind the refrigerator is new, however I'm wondering if the internal plastic lines need to be replaced. Any ideas? I keep reading about running bleach or baking soda solution through the refrigerator lines and/or filter. I'm not sure if this is a safe solution.

Thanks!
