not cool
Model Number: gss25jfmd ww Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
I have a gss25jfmd ww that is not cooling on both sides. The fan runs but the compressor is not cool. I did some research and found two answers. One, the defrost switch in inop. or the mother board is not sending electricity to the compressor to allow it to run. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Hi.
It's not clear from your post if the compressor is running or not. If it's not- open the control board cover (just above the compressor compartment on the right), locate the J8 plug and J7 pin9 on the left. Using a multimeter check for 120VAC between those two.
