On Wednesday the appliance repair man came and replaced starter relay using relay overload start compacitor combo 3n'1 start. Cut some wires and put this in and worked until today. When he left everything was running. This evening the fridge got quiet the only thing running is the fan inside the freezer. Compressor and fan in the back underneath is not working. Wednesday spent $200 on appliance repair man. Would like to try fixing this myself this time. Thanks for any and all help.

I have stated before on this site,NEVER use a 3n1 hard start kit on a modern R134A compressor. The first power surge will cause the kit to send excessive current to the compressor through the adaptive defrost board AP4909015 probably blowing out both items.
You will probably find the compressor start winding is blown open along with the adaptive defrost board.
This evidence and warning has been published for many years, apparently your service person is just not informed of this, so I would try to get your money back.

Get an ohmeter and test continuty across the three compressor pins, you might find one blown open. Usually the common pin is at the top, and run and start pins on the bottom.

AP4503415; this is from this site.. Would you use one of these?

How can you tell if the compressor is out? He came back on Monday and will be back tomorrow to replace the part he replaced on last week with the part he should have used in the first place. He also told me that the defrost board is not working. What should I say to him?

If you have no meter, I would get someone else to look at it. As I stated, your compressor may be blown.

Adc IV kit. The board blew again. I took both board apart and looks like they both blew at the compressor out.

If you get a ohmeter, test the compressor terminals to ground, probably shorted to ground.
