I have noticed this past summer, the fridge/freezer is in the garage. ave temps in the garage are ~ 78-85 during the day. A few weeks ago, when I opended the fridge door, i noticed condensation around the top of the fridge compartment where the temp controls are located. there was a bit of freezing water around the water dispenser outlet. Should have checked it then.

Now a few weeks later I notice that the fridge compartment is never below 58 degrees. After I disassembled everything, I double checked the drain (open) compressor working along with fan, fan in the freezer working fine. I was puzzled as to the common challenges one has with this type of situation.

So, when resting on the refrig I noticed it was slanted down towards the doors, from back to front. I double checked with a level and for sure the unit was tilted foward (towards the doors). This may have been why the water from the freezer coils after defrost was not going down the drain but forward towards the doors....and freezing.

Anyway, now I am stuck. Did I inadvertantly short out the temp control board? looks ok by sight...is there something else within the fridge box when subject to water damage I should be looking for? any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi.

Try to unplug the fridge for 24hrs with the doors open. There could be frozen air ducts between freezer and fresh food.
Also open the rear panel in the freezer and check if the condensation drain is not clogged.

That was the first thing I tried. Took apart all that can with respect to the ducts etc and all are fine. Ie no frozen duct work.

Also the drain is fine in the back of the unit. No debris or ice buildup

Did you check if the air baffle is open? Part number: 2315515

(!) I noticed that I could not see through it...the fan from the freezer is circulating down to the refrig. I noticed this after I removed the centerline
assembly which I suspect has the baffle at the rear wall end as you describe.

It appears to be closed? but there is no mechanism for which I can use to open it.....I did notice the "black" (your photo shows an emerald blue) assembly but it is housed in styrofoam and is not readily removable.

So, I think the answer is that the baffle is closed
