Model Number: ATF2110DRW Brand: Admiral Age: More than 10 years
Hi guys,
Here is my problem: Backstory, we have lived here for for six years. The fridge came with the house which was built in late 1999 and the fridge was new then. Been using the icemaker daily all this time with no problems. Last week, Tuesday or so, I emptied the icemaker container into a bag to keep in the freezer. This in preparation of going to the hunting camp for the weekend. Well, on Friday night I emptied the container again, but noticed the cubes were submerged in ice. Totally stuck together. I went ahead and placed the "block" in my cooler because I didn't have room in my freezers for it. Anyway, talked to the wife on Saturday and she said the icemaker had quit working, there was no ice in the container. Well, I get home Sunday afternoon and sure enough, there was no ice. Haven't had a chance to investigate the problem until tonight. I lowered the arm to cut it on. I see that the mold seems to be full and what is in there is frozen. Still waiting to see if it will dump the product. I will check the freezer compartment temperature shortly, but I think it is okay. I have never checked the filter, (don't even know if it has one), but our water went out the Friday before in my hood due to some problem unknown to me. Could I have trash in my supply valve causing this? Why did my container get half submerged in water that later froze? I need help on where to start looking for the problem. Thanks for reading this guys. Ads By Google Related Models |
