Whirlpool French Door model GI5VFAXVB02. When you push on the paddle to dispense either water or ice, the paddle arm fails to swing past the switch to activate the desired function.

I have removed the front panel, and disconnected the cables to the digital board, removed the assembly to identify that the paddle when pushed was not swinging an arm past the switch to dispense the water or ice. I noticed that that arm was out of its slot next to the switch. I return the arm to the correct location, but when I replace the assembly into the correct position, the paddle doesnt have clearance or abilitly to travel far enough to allow the arm to make contact with the switch.

When I removed the assembly there were no signs of broken parts or any pieces of plastic were observed. I took special care in everything i removed to ensure i was putting everything back exactly as it came out.
