I noticed my kenmore/frigidaire upright freezer had no display on the digital temperature control on the front door. lost alot of food. about two months ago the same thing happened but somehow the display read zero. now the display was blank. i had power to the freezer.I unplugged the freezer and pulled the digital temp/control board off of the front freezer door. it has 8 pins that plug into a female socket on the door. when i replugged the digital display board back in, then plugged the freezer in , it worked. i am afraid to restock the freezer because this has happened before. Im thinking that i should replace the digital display/circuit board as it seems all functions are run through this board. the schematic shows that you have 115 volt power
running directly to this display/board. it has a thermister in the schematic which goes to a pin in this control. There doesnt seem to be any control or switch that would prvent power from getting to the display/board on the schematic.ANYONE THAT CAN GIVE ME SOME INPUT ON THIS PROBLEM,PLEASE RESPOND. THANKS
