Model Number: GLRS267ZAW4 Brand: Frigidaire Age: More than 10 years
How do you get the relay out totally? It has a red and blue wire and I can't get it out. I shake it and I don't hear any rattle. It doesn't seem to come apart with any snaps or such. I have a Frigidaire GLRS267ZAW4. I have the "buzzing and click" problem. I tested the capacitor for continuity (set to ohms and it didnt change) and I don't get any reading. I stuck the pins in the relay (the three holes where it plugs in to the compressor) and they all had continuity. I also scratched some paint off the compressor and did that and it didin't move either. Think my prob is the capacitor? I have the part in my shopping cart but I wanted to make sure I get the correct part. Thanks! Ads By Google Related Models |

Hi.
The capacitor is most likely good. To check it you need a meter with MFD scale or analog meter set to 100Kohm. Based on the info you provided you should replace the start relay/overload Part number: 5304468029 Simon.

Simon,
Thanks for the reply. I thought if it didn't rattle, then it was fine. I tested it and there was continuity. Then my question is how do you replace it, meaning that there are wires on my part but the part you show doesn't have any. Do you have detailed instructions on how to get it apart and move the wires over from the old one to the new one? Thanks again! |

The wire plug has a locking tab. Use flat screw driver to open it.
Simon.

Just pull the capacitor of the relay.
Simon.

Ok, I'll try and figure it out...thanks. I ordered the relay and the capacitor to be sure. I'm sure I'll have to post another question if I can't get the wires off the relay. But still it doesn't rattle, and I thought that was the tale tale sign it was bad.

You may have the one where you need to release the each contact at the relay by using tiny screw driver.
Simon.

Hi.
It doesn't matter. You should have the plug with 2 wires in the kit, splice them. Simon.
