Model Number: KSSS42QDX03 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: More than 10 years
I have found drops of water leaked out from the ice chute assembly lately. The flap seems to be closing tightly though beads of water are seen on its outside surface. I even poured a small amout of water on it from the inside of the freezer door and found no water leakage through the chute this way (at least from its bottom side). There has to be a crack somewhere around the chute assembly though I have not figured out how to remove it for closer inspection. This is a built-in unit with wood panel overlay. Do I have to remove the whole door, gasket and wood panels in order to get to the ice chute? Please advise. Many thanks in advance.
