Model Number: RS267LASH Brand: Samsung Age: 1 - 5 years
Hello, We are having a problem with our Samsung Refrigerator - RS267LASH is the model number. The front panel indicates it's -2 for the freezer and 38 for the fridge...but that is not accurate. It's much warmer in both compartments - 31 and 51 per our thermometer.
When we unplug the unit and plug it back in, the temperature settings update and correctly detect that it's too warm. The compressor then comes on and unit cools as normal. Later in the day though, the compressor never kicks back on and the temperature rises again and the panel temperaturs are not updating . We notice a "whirring" sound that continues to run nonstop but the compressor is not on. We ran the diagnostics on the RS267 fridge (Holding Power Freeze and Power Cool for 8 Seconds) and nothing is reported. We also ran the load check (Power Freeze and Power Cool for 6 seconds followed by pressing the fridge button) and it displayed the following results: 8 - Compressor 13- Condensor Fan Low 14 - Dispenser Heater 10 - Freezer Fan Flow 15 - Damper 1 - Refrigeration Fan High or AC Motor Operation Any ideas what's going on? It appears the unit thinks the compressor is running but it really isn't. I can manually make the compressor go on & off by going into the "Forced Operation Function" - it works every time in that manner. Note: The main board was replaced last week, I thought it may have been that but it clearly isn't. The original board exhibits the same behavior as well. Thanks! Ads By Google Related Models |

Yes, it's been fixed - in my case it was a two fold problem - resulted in the replacement of the main board (bad relay) and the capacitor being replaced.
Some units have a separate board (RS267LASH it's all one main board) and the capacitor is in the same plastic case. several days later - so far so good...no problems. I paid for the board on here and the capacitor - the appliance company ended up diagnosing the problem - their price was way too high for parts and labor. Ended up paying $59 for the visit...parts from here and labor was done myself. |
