Need some help with locating access to the defrost drain hose in our LG french door/bottem freezer. from what we can tell the drain pan is dry, but the inside of the freezer compartment fills with water and freezes on a regular basis. We have to break up the ice and remove it about once every 10 days or so. Both the freezer & refrig. are working properly as far as cooling, etc. and the icemaker is functioning fine.
I chatted with a helpful person on your site a few weeks ago and was advised it sounded like the drain line was clogged. (VERY likely since we have three cats and of course lots of dust). Today I attempted to get to the drain line from the inside of the frz. comp. by removing the back panel, but once done (not as easy as it sounds), All we say was the coil(?) and no obvious drain line. I poured some warm water down the inside of the back, behind the coils, but it just went right into the bottem of the compartment.
Is there a diagram, or something easy enough for a DIY'ER to read, review and understand about how I can accomplish this task?
