Icemaker works, barely. Fills up with water and dumps full size cubes except it only dumps about 2-3 times a day so it's really slow. Temp is about as close to zero as you can get. Is this a icemaker thermostat issue or I have seen some suggest just replacing the whole icemaker but it's like $75 difference in price if I am looking at the parts correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi.

If it's an old refrigerator - replace the icemaker.

Simon.

The general recommendation is to replace the icemaker.
You don't wish to repair it again if anything ells brakes soon.

Here is the icemaker Part number: 4317943
Part number: 4317943
