I have replaced water inlet valve and turned off defrost timer (below & behind grille gate cover). Some of food in freezer is freezing up again but not all the foods are. Water pressure is normal and water can be dispensed but not getting to the icemaker. When I unplugged it to replace inlet valve, some of the ice stuck on the icemaker mold started to thaw out.... Refrigerator side seems to be normal but not as cold as before maybe? Are both problems related? Please help. I've searched the forums but too many theories on the problem & wanted to make sure before spending more money on unnecessary parts (or at least try to save money to buy new fridge if necessary). The original problem is is freezer not freezing (no ice accumulating on coils) and no ice being made in the icemaker (normally would hear water running up to icemaker or icemaker mold after pulling lever down). If you were asking why I turned off the defrost timer, it was to see if the defrost heater was malfunctioning and heating up the freezer. After turning it off, some of the liquefied food/soups started freezing again near the vent holes but other foods remained cool but not frozen along with no ice being made.

Make sure the condenser coils are clean and the fan next to the compressor is working properly.

If there is nothing wrong then there is a problem with the sealed system. It has to be tested by a certified tech and repair can be expensive.
