I have a 2004 GE side by side 25 ft3 refrigerator. It was working fine.
The freezer side still works fine and get cold below 32F.
I check for ice and frost and clean up.
The small air duct between the freezer to the fresh food compartment is open and clear.

But the fresh food compartment does not get cold and stay above 50F.

How does cold air pass from freezer to fresh food compartment size?

Hi.

Check if:

-the evaporator fan motor is running
-both supply and return air ducts are not blocked
-the evaporator coils not blocked with snow

Post the results.

PS. Missing one letter in the model number after P.

Thank you for your response.
The model number is GE GSS25IFPH

The evaporator fan is 12VDC. I open the freezer panel and the evaporator fan is blowing fine. The evaporator coil is working and free of ice. The freezer side is working fine.

The upper air duct damper is working (actually I can discount and manually open the damper door to the fresh food compartment). The low return air duct is clear and open.

Can you tell me where is the location of fresh food compartment temperature sensor?

Hi.

You mentioned the freezer temp. below 32F. What is the real freezer temperature?

Hi.

You will have to do some testing. You need the thermometer and multimeter.

Locate the air damper in the refrigerator top left.

Close the damper door.
Unplug the fridge.
Reconnect power in 60 sec.

Door opens - check thermistor resistance. Locate the main control board at the back of the fridge right lower corner, remove the cover and with unit off disconnect the J1 plug.

Check the resistance between J1-2 and J1-5. Use the thermostat to read the real temp. inside the refrigerator.
41F - 12,7 kohm, 50F - 10 kohm, 59F - 7.8 kohm.

Incorrect reading - replace the thermistor.
Correct - replace main board.

Door don't open - unplug harness at the damper.
Check resistance: Yell to Red/Black and W/Brown to Blue/Yell. About 420 ohm.

Incorrect resistance - replace damper.
Correct - replace the main board.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for General Electric GSS25IFPHCC Refrigerator | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you.

Simon.
