The door ice dispenser stopped working all of a sudden. I suspect the dog ear molded into the dispenser housing had a hair line crack as I was using minimal pressure when it stopped. I have replaced the chute assembly with the replacement kit that is available. It does have thicker foam on the chute to help seal outside air out. Yes, I used all the parts. However, the dogear that broke is not the one on the chute assembly - it is on the dispenser housing. It is what holds the chute assembly in place. Unfortunately, while researching to repair the problem, I see this has been a problem since at least 2008. Is anyone aware of a reasonable solution as the part is not available anywhere? I have the piece that broke off but find it hard to believe that glueing it back on will be strong enough to hold. Thank you.
