I have an upright Gibson commercial freezer (frost free) that stopped freezing. It's about 12 years old. It gets real cold inside but does not freeze. I had an evaluation by DTE home protection service but want a second opinion. DTE sent a tech to my home through Kenwhirl appliance. The tech said it was an issue with either the seal system or the compressor and the freon was not circulating properly. I'm questioning this evaluation because if the freon is not circulating then why is the freezer still getting very cold? Neither issue is covered by my protection plan service:eek: . I unplugged the freezer for a week before the tech came so I know it's not a defrost issue. Please confirm the problem.
