Ok so my evaporator fan was making noise the first thing I noticed was a good deal of ice built up on the back wall of the freezer near where the ice maker is mounted, so I took the back wall out of the freezer and low and behold there was ice on the motor mount interfering with the fan. I removed the ice cleaned everything up and reassembled the unit. It now runs quite but the drawers do not move freely, feels like the tracks are freezing up because if i work them they loosen up for a while and then refreeze. I supect that maybe my unit is not properly defrosting, how would I go about confirming that my unit goes into defrost mode properly? short of just waiting to see if ice builds up again. I have made sure that there is no obstruction in the air channel that reports to the refridgerator section. Any assistance will be appreciated.
