 woke up this morning with the smoke alarm sounding. House down stairs filled with smokey haze. Fire dept determined it was the refrigerator. opened it up, saw that the starter relay on the compressor was fried. Can I just replace the starter relay or do I need a compressor?:(

I have seen this many times. most of the time just replaceing the compressor relay does the job. clean condensor coil same time you do repairs.
