Freezer and fridge sections both set at 9. Fridge at desired temp (+34F). Freezer section sticks in the defrost range about (+10F to +15F). If turn off power for a few minutes then turn back on freezer temperature returns to -10F to -20F. This cycle has occured three times at about 10 day intervals. What is most probable cause?

Check the condenser fan and condensing coils, clean if necessary. If you suspect the condensing fan motor is runing too slow, put a portable fan on the back and see if the temperatures return to "normal", like 41 fridg. zero to 10, freezer temp.
